Cost Controller — Assistant Manager

John Keells Group, Sri Lanka’s largest owner of star class hotels with a portfolio of over 2000 rooms
divided among two city hotels and ten resort hotels, situated in prime locations in Sri Lanka and the
Maldives.

We invite applications fiom suitably qualified individuals for the post of Cost Controller .The selected
candidate will be based at head oflice and will report to the Sector Financial Controller.

The Cost Controller will be responsible for:

- Conducting periodic reviews of purchasing / receiving /storage processes of all Food, Beverage, Supplies and Repair and maintenance items.
- Participating in market surveys and supplier evaluation
- Being a key member of the purchasing committee.
- Reviewing of buffet costing and recipe costing.
- Reviewing of food and beverage costs.
- Monitoring of stocks, pricing and other available information via IT platforms eg. LOB & SAP
- Management information to be accurate! current and facilitates improved decision making.
- Ensuring that processes are in place to defect wastage and spoilage.
- Regular process audits at hotels in respect to cost controls.
- Optimizing the use of SAP particularly MM and MRP modules.
- Developing & guiding all personnel in cost control measures.

The ideal candidate should:

- Possess two years’ experience in a similar position.
- Possess excellent working knowledge on SAP — MM and MRP modules
- Part qualification in ACA/ACCA/ACMA/CIMA.
- Possess sound knowledge of MS Oflice-
- Be a good team player with excellent inter-personal skills-
- Be an individual who enjoys working in an environment that is changing, challenging and demanding
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
